About Merch Envy

One Contact. One Phone Number. On Purpose.

Merch Envy is a managed merch program built for Tampa Bay gyms, schools, and local businesses. When the site says one contact, this is not a slogan. One person owns your account from the first call to delivery.

Why This Exists

Merch Is Always Somebody's Second Job

Every organization that orders branded apparel has one person who ended up in charge of it. Nobody hired them for it. It landed on them because they had a free afternoon once, and it never went away.

I have spent more than fifteen years on the production side of print and direct mail, where those rushed orders land. Watching that happen over and over is what started this.

The pattern is always the same. A rushed order in spring. A closet full of the wrong sizes. A print shop that quoted once and went quiet. Then next season everyone starts from scratch, because nothing was written down the first time.

The problem was never the printing. It was that nobody owned it.

Merch Envy exists to own it. Not to sell you shirts, and not to be one more vendor in your inbox. To be the department that handles the whole thing so it stops landing on your people.

That is a different business than a print shop, and it gets run differently. There is a calendar. There are documented specs. There is one invoice. And there is one person who answers when you call.

Who Runs It

The Person Who Answers Is The Person Who Does The Work

I served in the U.S. Navy. The habit that stuck from it is simple: you write the plan down, you hit the date, and you do not make somebody chase you for an answer.

Since then I have worked in print and direct mail operations, coordinating data, production schedules, and postal deadlines. That work is built on deadlines, specs, and systems that cannot afford to be sloppy. It turns out a merch program runs on exactly the same things.

I started Merch Envy in Largo because I kept seeing good organizations get bad service on something that should be simple. Not bad printing. Bad handling. Quotes that never came back, orders that arrived after the season, and nobody documenting anything so the next one started over.

So the whole business is built around removing that. You get one contact, one invoice, and a calendar you approve up front. I do the chasing so nobody on your team has to.

Real Hands. Real Gear.

We Press Samples And Small Runs In House.

Short runs get pressed right here in Largo. Bigger orders go to decorators we have vetted. Either way, every order gets checked before it reaches you.

Closing a heat press on a shirt in Largo
Pressed in Largo, not shipped in from who knows where.
Peeling a transfer off a freshly pressed print
Every print checked by the person who quoted it.
Checking a finished shirt in front of a folded stack
Counted, sized and folded before it leaves.

Approved Before It Runs

Every order starts with a digital mockup you approve in writing. On orders we press here in Largo, we also make the first piece and send you a photo before running the rest. Want to hold one first on a bigger order? Ask, and we will tell you if a physical sample is possible for that decoration method.

Fast On The Small Stuff

New hire shirts and short runs don't wait in a print shop's line.

Quality Checked Either Way

Pressed here or by a partner, nothing ships until it passes our check.

How We Operate

Four Things We Do Not Bend On

These are not values on a wall. They are the rules the business actually runs by.

01

You Hear The Bad News First

If a date is going to slip or a product is out of stock, you hear it from us before you notice it. Nobody has to call and ask where their order is.

02

Everything Gets Written Down

Sizes, colors, placements, print files, and vendors are documented on every project. That is what makes a reorder a ten minute conversation instead of a restart.

03

We Tell You When To Spend Less

If a cheaper garment does the same job, or you are about to order more than you will move, we say so. A program that runs for years is worth more than one padded order.

04

Nothing Locks You In

No setup fee on your first project. No long term contract. Month to month after that. If we stop earning it, you stop paying for it, and you keep your files either way.

The Honest Part

We are new. That is exactly why the first project has no strings attached.

You will not find a wall of client logos on this site, because there is not one yet. Merch Envy was established in 2023 and we are building the client roster now, in Tampa Bay, one organization at a time.

Plenty of new businesses hide that behind vague claims about years of combined experience. We would rather just tell you.

You should not have to take our word for it. So we built it so you do not have to.

That is the entire reason the Proof Run exists. One complete project, fully managed, with no setup fee and no contract. You judge the work on the work: the product in your hands, the dates we hit, and how it felt to work with us.

If it is good, we talk about the year. If it is not, you keep the product, the artwork files, and the documented specs, and we part ways with no hard feelings. You are never locked in.

Staying Small

What Small Gets You, And What It Does Not

Staying small is a real trade off. Here is both sides of it, straight.

What You Get

The Good Side Of Small

  • No handoffs. The person on your call is the person doing the work. Nothing gets lost between a rep and a production team.
  • Real answers, fast. No layers to route a question through. You text, and the answer comes from the person who knows.
  • Someone shows up. Local bulk orders are delivered in person whenever possible and checked with you, not left as a tracking number.
  • Your account is not small. A twenty person order matters here in a way it does not at a national supplier.

What It Does Not

The Honest Trade Off

  • Tampa Bay only, for now. We ship anywhere, but the in person part only works locally.
  • A calendar beats a fire drill. We can handle rush work, but the value here is planning ahead, not being the fastest emergency vendor.
  • A limited number of programs. We only take on what we can run well. When the calendar is full, we will say so.
  • Not a print shop. We do not run a production floor. We manage vetted decorators and handle small runs in house, which is a different and, for you, better job.
Local Roots

We Are Not Just Selling Into This Community

Merch Envy also runs Ride Largo, a community effort working toward a public pump track in Largo, gear donations for kids who would not otherwise have any, and free community ride events.

It exists because building something for the place you live is worth doing, and because a lot of the organizations we serve are trying to do exactly the same thing.

Ride Together. Grow Together.

Yes, and we say so up front. That is exactly why every new client starts with a Proof Run: one fully managed project with no setup fee and no commitment, so you can judge the work instead of taking our word for it.

Is Merch Envy a print shop?

No. We are the merch department you do not have to hire. We plan, source, design, and manage production, pressing small runs ourselves here in Largo and sending larger work to vetted decorators. You get one contact and one invoice no matter how many suppliers are behind the order.
